Charlie Blackmon, Carlos Gonzalez, and Corey Dickerson each hit home runs as the Rockies scored seven runs on nine hits. Starting pitcher David Hale allowed five hits and a run while striking out four over 5.0 innings to get the win and raise his record to 5-5 and John Axford earned his 25th save. For Saturday’s game the Rockies start Kyle Kendrick who has allowed 160 hits and 93 earned runs while striking out 72 over 131.1 innings for a 6-13 record and a 6.37 ERA.

The Los Angeles Dodgers haven’t clinched a spot in the post-season yet and they didn’t help their own cause on Friday losing in Colorado.
