The Cincinnati Reds have been giving some new faces a look but that isn’t bringing in the wins. The Reds have gone ice cold with seven consecutive defeats after both the arms and bats struggled Saturday. Starter John Lamb was charged with five runs in two frames while Carlos Contreras and Burke Badenhop allowing five runs although it didn’t matter with the offense unable to get going. The Reds pounded out 13 hits and walked once with Ivan De Jesus doubling twice and driving in Jay Bruce and Todd Frazier. Cincinnati is slated to start Keyvius Sampson for the first time ever against the Mets. Sampson threw the ball well in a 3-1 loss at St Louis with a run given up on four hits and three BB in 5.1 innings.
The over is 24-5-1 in New York’s last 30 road games while the Mets are 22-5 in their last 27 road games and the over is 6-2 in their last 8 Sunday games. Cincinnati are 6-22 in their last 28 Sunday games and the over is 9-3 in their last 12 overall while going 9-3 in their last 12 on grass. Hate the juice, like the Mets…
