The Kansas City Royals look to get hot and against the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night.
The Kansas City Royals have wrapped up the American League Central but would like to head in to the postseason on a hot streak. The hot streak will have to wait another day to begin following a 1-0, eleven inning road loss to the Chicago Cubs on Monday night. The pitching was outstanding with Yordano Ventura tossing a two hit shutout over seven frames before Miguel Almonte surrendered a walkoff homer in the 11th. KC managed just four hits and three walks with Mike Moustakas smacking a double and single. Kansas City hands the ball to Johnny Cueto for Tuesday’s outing versus the White Sox. Cueto has been somewhat disappointing for the Royals with a 3-6 record with an ERA near five.

The White Sox have dropped five of six following a 6-1 defeat at the hands of the Yankees. Neither the arms or bats were strong enough with Erik Johnson allowing three runs on seven hits and four bases on balls through 5.2 innings before Daniel Webb gave up two more. Chicago logged seven hits and a walk with Avisail Garcia cracking his 13th long ball. The White Sox send Jeff Samardzija to the hill to square off with division rival Kansas City on Tuesday night. Overall Samardzija has struggled in 2015 with a 10-13 record and 5.04 ERA.
