The Kansas City Royals and Toronto Blue Jays play game three of the ALCS Monday night.
The Kansas City Royals could all but end this series by winning a third straight game. The Royals offense has caught fire as of late, producing 18 runs in their last three games. The Royals have won nine straight games when scoring more than three runs. Alcides Escobar leads the Royals with nine hits, while Kendrys Morales and Eric Hosmer have combined for 15 RBI. The Kansas City Royals pitching staff has allowed just five runs in their last three games and have 18 strikeouts in the first two games of this series. Johnny Cueto gets the ball, and he’s 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA and 13 strikeouts this postseason.

The Toronto Blue Jays need a victory here if they have any hope of advancing to the World Series. The Blue Jays bats have produced just three runs in this series and are struggling to make contact overall. The Blue Jays have lost 12 straight games when scoring three or less runs. Kevin Pillar and Chris Colabello have combined for 18 hits and six RBI while Josh Donaldson has homered twice. The Blue Jays pitching staff has allowed four or more runs in five of their seven postseason games. However, the Blue Jays aren’t winning regardless if their batting lineup doesn’t wake up. Marcus Stroman takes the hill, and he’s 0-0 with a 3.46 ERA and nine strikeouts this postseason.
The Blue Jays offense can't be this quiet for the rest of the series, can it?
While Cueto is coming off a pitching perfomance of his life, we now head to Toronto, where it's a big ball park and bats seem to wake up. I'm not sure who wins this game, but I'm expecting a lot of runs with all that space and so many good hitters.
Give me the over.
