The Colorado Rockies will be at Chase Field to face the Arizona Diamondbacks Tuesday.
The Colorado Rockies have always been a team that has relied more on scoring then pitching and that is exactly how things played out Monday. The Rockies picked up a 10-5 victory at Arizona behind strong work out of the pen and some power hitting. Starter Jorge De La Rosa was ineffective with all five runs allowed on eight hits over 4.2 innings before four relievers shutout the Diamondbacks. The Rockies pounded out 15 hits and walked four times with Trevor Story going deep twice and driving in four with Nolan Arenado going 2-5 with a homer and three RBI’s. Carlos Gonzalez went deep and scored twice while every starter recorded a hit. Chad Bettis gets his second career start at Chase Field on Tuesday. In his lone appearance there Bettis dropped a 3-1 decision with two runs allowed (one earned) on six hits and three BB over six frames.

David Peralta was 3-5 and scored twice but the Diamondbacks struck out 13 times. The Diamondbacks send former Atlanta Braves hurler Shelby Miller to the hill for Tuesday’s start versus Colorado. In two 2015 outings against the Rockies Miller is 0-2 with nine runs given up on 20 hits over 11.2 innings.
