The Los Angeles Dodgers come to AT &T Park with a 3-0 record and are yet to give up a run can the San Franciso Giants have more joy against the Dodgers pitching than the hapless Padres?
It is a pretty remarkable run that the Dodgers are in to start the season. Starting pitching has been lights out and MLB rookie Maeda followed the Dodgers big two with a tremendous performance on Wednesday helping his own cause with a solo HR as well. The Dodgers bats have been hot with Adrian Gonzalez, Yasiel Puig both with multiple hit games early in this new season. The Dodgers haven't been good against Jake Peavey though and they get the veteran Giant on Thursday. Combined the project eight starters are hitting less than .200 against Peach.

As mentioned above Jake Peavey will take the mound for San Francisco withr the team looking to bounce back from their first loss of the season. Peavey has a 14-3 record against the Dodgers with a 2.38 ERA some impressive numbers and given that this is the Giants home opener the atmosphere is bound to be raucous. The Giants have added some quality to the line up in former Nationals lead off Denard Span and if he can continue to produce alongside Hunter Pence, Buster Posey, Matt Duffy then this Giants team are going to be involved at the business end of the season.
Some food for thought on this match up
Dodgers at 4-1 in last 5 road games.
San Fran are 8-0 in last 8 Peavy starts.
Under is 5-1 last 6 meetings.
Dodgers are 6-2 last 8 meetings
It's a tough home opener for the Giants , among the toughest games in the league right now but I think that the Giants can cet it done. The Dodgers are going to Gove up runs eventually and while they might not Gove up too many on the pitcher friendly AT&T Park I think they will come up just short here and I am taking the Giants to Gove the Dodgers their first loss of the season
