The Toronto Blue Jays look to get back in the win column after opening up their series in Boston with a loss as Marco Estrada goes up against David Price.
The high powered Blue Jays offense will get their first look at former ace David Price whose brief stay in Toronto last year was very exciting but he opted to leave for Boston in the offseason and gets his first start against them on Saturday. The Blue Jays couldn’t muster a late game come back last night and left a couple of guys stranded in the ninth inning against Craig Kimbrel and now they have to go up against Price who is a much different pitcher than Rick Porcello who they faced yesterday and you can be sure the Fenway faithful will be fired up for this one on Saturday afternoon. Marco Estrada played very well in his season debut and will be out for another strong outing here and with a 9-4 mark in their last 13 games in which Estrada starts against the AL East things look good for the Blue Birds in this one.

The Red Sox meanwhile pulled back to the .500 mark with a victory last night in what was a spectacular outing for Porcello and while he couldn’t solve Edwin Encarnacion he was excellent against the rest of the roster and led them to a big series opening win. The Sox will go back to the well in this one as David Price looks to move to 2-0 and lower his 5.73 ERA as he gets another Fenway start and with added incentive to beat the team who didn’t even make him an offer in free agency I think he will be in for one of his dominant outings. Boston is 9-4 in their last 13 against the AL East but this will be a tough test at home against Estrada and a frustrated Jays offense that was anemic yesterday so this one should be a tight contest. With two good pitchers going and each offense seemingly quiet at the moment I think we saw a low scoring affair in a game that comes under the number.
