The Milwaukee Brewers look to shake off an ugly effort yesterday as they face off against the Pittsburgh Pirates again on Sunday.
The Brewers continue their series at PNC Park against the Pirates and after dropping a 5-0 decision yesterday they will look to get back in the win column today as they face off against Juan Nicasio. The Brewers are 2-3 on the road this season and are 5-6 overall but the Pirates haven’t been much better and are a modest 6-6 through their first 12 games in what many expected to be another breakout season for the Bucs who have become one of the best teams in the National League over the last few seasons. The Brewers will send Zach Davies to the mound and will look to improve on their ugly 6-17 stretch against the NL Central but the trends aren’t in their favour at the moment and will need a much better performance with the sticks than they had last night.

The Pirates meanwhile will look to move above the .500 mark with a win tonight and after a spectacular outing yesterday in which they held the Brewers off the scoreboard they will look for more of the same with Nicasio on the mound in this one. The Pirates are 47-23 in their last 70 home games and are 23-9 in their last 32 games on Sunday and while Nicasio hasn’t been spectacular to start the year he certainly gives the Bucs a chance to win here and at home against an underwhelming roster I think they get it done again.
