The Houston Astros and Texas Rangers begin their three-game series Tuesday night at the Globe Life Park in Arlington.
The Houston Astros would love a bounce back victory here after losing eight of their last 12 games. The issues lately for the Astros is an offense that’s scored three or less runs in five of their last six games. On the flipside, the Houston Astros have an ERA of 4.86 and have allowed 20 home runs in 13 games. Offensively, Jose Altuve leads Houston with 16 hits, Tyler White has 11 RBI and George Springer has three home runs. Scott Feldman gets the nod, and he’s 0-1 with a 3.48 ERA and nine strikeouts this season. Feldman is 3-4 with a 4.14 ERA and 32 strikeouts in his career against the Rangers.

The Texas Rangers look to keep rolling after winning six of their last nine games. The Rangers have scored five or more runs in five of their last six games and are 6-2 this season when topping three runs. The Texas Rangers have an ERA of 4.10 and have allowed 22 home runs in 13 games. Offensively, Adrian Beltre leads Texas with 14 hits, Rougned Odor has 10 RBI and Delino DeShields has one home run. Derek Holland takes the hill, and he’s 1-0 with a 2.31 ERA and nine strikeouts this season. Holland is 3-2 with a 4.37 ERA and 38 strikeouts in his career against the Astros.
The Rangers have beaten the Astros in eight of the last 10 meetings and are currently playing better overall baseball at the moment. Although it's very early, the Astros look nothing like the scary dark horse that made the playoffs last season. I've said before that I like this Rangers roster, as the lineup consistently produces.
I'm siding with the Rangers to get the victory here.
