The Atlanta Braves and the Los Angeles Dodgers square off in game two of their series at Turner Field.
The mighty Dodgers took their show to Atlanta on Tuesday and took one on the chin in an 8-1defeat. The Dodgers never knew what hit them as they trailed 6-0 by the 4th and were never a factor. Starter Alex Wood was hit hard by his former team with six runs plated (three earned) on seven hits and a trio of bases on balls over just four frames before five relievers stopped the bleeding. The LAD attack consisted of five hits and four bases on balls with Corey Seager driving in Joc Pederson with their lone run. Ross Stripling makes his third career start for the Dodgers on Wednesday night. Stripling has been impressive thus far as he comes off a 5-2 victory versus Arizona where he allowed both runs on five hits in six innings.

The Atlanta Braves have begun turning things around after a slow start and how long it lasts is the question. The Braves dominated every aspect of the game and unexpectedly so versus visiting Los Angeles. Starter Williams Perez gave the Bravos 3.1 scoreless frames with Ryan Weber giving up the lone run through 3.2 innings. The Atlanta offense pounded out ten hits and walked three times with Tyler Flowers going 4-4 with three RBI’s and a run while Jeff Francoeur went 2-2 with two runs driven in and one scored followed by Adonis Garcia and Freddie Freeman with a pair of runs each. The Braves send Williams Perez (Julio Teheran?) to the hill against Los Angeles for his third outing of the season. In two starts, Perez has allowed seven runs on eleven hits and five walks over nine innings.
Los Angeles are 13-3 in their last 16 Wednesday games and the under is 15-5-1 in LA last 21 Wednesday games. The under is 11-3-1 in Atlanta’s last 15 home games and the Braves are 3-11 in their last 14 Wednesday games while going 17-40 in their last 57 overall. The Dodgers are 11-4 in the last 15 meetings. It looks like Teheran might pitch but I’m going to back the visitors…
