The Minnesota Twins conclude their interleague series at the Milwaukee Brewers Thursday.
The Minnesota Twins rallied from a big deficit in Tuesday’s loss to the Brewers but they didn’t have enough going for them in Wednesday’s 10-5 defeat at Miller Park. Starter Tommy Milone was touched for four runs on five hits over 4.2 frames while Ryan Pressly let the game get out of reach with four runs plated on a pair of homers through 1.1 innings. The Twins offense did their damage on eleven hits and three free passes with Oswaldo Arcia slamming a two run homer while Eddie Rosario went solo. Ricky Nolasco goes in search of his first win when he opposes the Milwaukee Brewers Thursday. Nolasco did not receive a decision in a 6-4 win versus the Angels where he allowed four runs on nine hits and a pair of BB in seven frames.

The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Twins for the second straight night thanks to adequate pitching and a huge night at the plate. Starter Jimmy Nelson gave up four runs on ten hits and a walk over 6.2 frames which wasn’t great but was still a winning effort with the Brewers attack exploding for 13 hits and six walks with Domingo Santana, Chris Carter and Aaron Hill slamming homers while Jonathan Lucroy knocked in three runs and scored. The Milwaukee Brewers send Taylor Jungmann to the mound for his first career meeting versus the Twins. Jungmann suffered a 5-0 defeat at Pittsburgh last time out with four runs plated on six hits over six innings.
The over is 8-3 in Minnesota last 11 Thursday games and the Twins are 7-2 in Nolasco’s last 9 starts while going 7-2 in Nolasco’s last 9 starts on grass. The over is 12-3-1 in MIL last 16 interleague games and is 8-2-1 in their last 11 Thursday games while the Brewers are 4-11 in their last 15 home games. It seems runs are scored when these teams meet so let’s try the over again…
