Starter Kendall Graveman controlled the Bronx Bombers bats wit a lone run plated on three hits and three walks over 6.1 frames while whiffing eight to get the win. The A’s amassed eleven hits and walked three times with Khris Davis leading the way with two hits and two RBI’s while Chris Coughlin, Josh Reddick and Stephen Vogt driving in runs and scored. Oakland sends Rich Hill to the bump for the final game of the series at the Yankees. Hill comes off of a 4-2 loss to Kansas City where he gave up three runs on nine hits and a trio of BB over 4.1 innings.

The New York Yankees need to a winning streak and some momentum to get themselves back in the American League East conversation. Those will have to begin Thursday as the Yankees struggled on the mound and at the plate on Wednesday night. Starter Nathan Eovaldi allowed three runs on eight hits through six innings to get the loss while Branden Pinder was charged with two more to put the game out of reach.
