The Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Royals continue their series at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday.
The Baltimore Orioles look like the real deal but their offense never got untracked in a 4-2 defeat at Kansas City on Friday night. O’s starter Yovani Gallardo gave up four early runs on five hits through two frames with the pen holding the Royals at bay the rest of the way. The Orioles mustered five hits and a base on balls but struck out 12 times with Manny Machado slamming a solo bomb while JJ Hardy knocked in Mark Trumbo. The Baltimore Orioles hand the game two start to Vance Worley who shoots for his second win. Worley defeated Texas on the road with five runs scored (four earned) on four hits and six BB in six innings.

I have said this before and it happened again Friday as Kansas City just seems to get enough hitting and pitching to win constantly. Royals starter Chris Young gave up both runs on four hits while striking out ten over six innings to pick up the win with three relievers putting up zeros. KC logged eight hits and a walk with Mike Moustakas going 3-4 with a three run jack with Kendrys Morales driving in a run while Alcides Escobar scored twice. Kris Medlen toes the rubber for the Kansas City Royals in game two of their series with visiting Baltimore. Medlen comes off a 3-2 loss at Oakland where he allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits and four BB in 6.1 frames.
Baltimore are 15-4 in their last 19 overall and are 15-4 in their last 19 games on grass while the under is 39-19-3 in their last 61 Saturday games. The under is 7-1 in Kansas City’s last 8 home games and is 11-3-1 in their last 15 overall while going 11-3-1 in their last 15 on grass. Baltimore are 1-7 in the last 8 meetings in Kansas City and are 3-10 in the last 13 meetings. I’m simply going with the team that finds a way to win…
