The Los Angeles Dodgers look to leave Coors Field with a win versus the Colorado Rockies Sunday.
The Los Angeles Dodgers wanted to avoid a shootout at Coors Field Saturday so they turned to their pitching and it came through in a 4-1 victory. The Dodgers received a huge boost from starter Kenta Maeda who tossed a three hit shutout over 6.1 frames while striking out eight. The LAD offense did their damage on ten hits and three free passes with AJ Ellis going 2-4 with a homer, two RBI’s and two runs while Chase Utley going 3-5 with a run scoring double. The Los Angeles Dodgers go with Alex Wood on the bump for the final game of the series at Coors Field. Wood is looking to rebound from an 8-1 loss at Atlanta where he was charged with six runs (three earned) on seven hits and three BB in four frames.

The Rockies mustered six hits and a walk with Brandon Barnes smacking an RBI double that plated Ben Paulsen. Jordan Lyles toes the rubber for the Colorado Rockies in the final game of the series with the rival Dodgers. Lyles was at his best last time out in a 5-1 victory at Cincinnati with an unearned run plated on four hits over seven innings.
The under is 7-3 in the Dodgers last 10 Sunday games. The over is 7-2 in Colorado’s last 9 home games and is 10-4 in Lyles' last 14 home starts while the Rockies are 6-13 in Lyles' last 19 starts. The over is 19-7 in the last 26 meetings. I couldn’t argue for or against each pitcher so gun to my head and…
