The Miami Marlins look to continue finding success in their California road trip as they travel from San Francisco into Los Angeles to battle the Dodgers.
The Marlins head into LA on Monday night to kick off their series with the Dodgers and after accumulating 14 hits yesterday and winning by a 5-4 final they will look for a repeat effort tonight against Ross Stripling. The Marlins head into tonight’s game sitting with a 6-11 record and haven’t quite hit their stride in the early part of the season but remain in the conversation as a potential playoff team in the National League East. Miami is 4-4 on the road so far this season and will send Wei-Yin Chen to the bump as he looks for his first victory of the season and he will nee a solid outing for the Fish as they face off against Stripling who has yet to record a victory but has a very nice 2.65 ERA so far this season. Miami is 3-8 in their last 11 contests and are 1-6 in their last seven games following a victory and head into Chavez Ravine which is never an easy park to get a win for visiting teams.

The Dodgers meanwhile are 12-7 so far this season and head into tonight’s game coming off a 12-10 victory at Coors Field in Colorado where they and the Rockies combined for 22 hits and 22 runs in what was a slug fest in Denver. Los Angeles continues to be the team to beat in the National League West but as usual they have some competition as the Diamondbacks made a ton of noise in the offseason and the Giants are always in the fold but as it stands now this is LA’s division to lose and they will try to show that again on Monday. The Dodgers are a very respectable 71-33 in their last 104 home games and are 7-1 in their last eight games against a left handed starter and while the Marlins got a big win yesterday I think they get hit hard here against a Dodgers team coming off a tough day on the mound but carry a lot of momentum with the sticks.
