The Kansas City Royals have been going nowhere lately but perhaps Tuesday’s spirited rally will give them some momentum going forward. The Royals would certainly like better work on the mound to avoid undue pressure on the offense. Royals starter had an uneven outing with two runs given up on five hits including a pair of solo bombs through 4.2 innings followed by Luke Hochevar with three runs plated on four hits in one inning. KC amassed eleven hits and a pair of walks with Eric Hosmer leading the way with three RBI’s with Mike Moustakas knocking in two while Alcides Escobar went 4-5 and scored twice. The Kansas City Royals end the series with Washington with Kris Medlen on the hill. Medlen was a hard luck 1-0 loser at Seattle last time out with the only hit allowed over 5.1 innings being a solo homer.

The under is 10-2 in Kansas City’s last 12 home games and is 18-6-2 in their last 26 overall while going 18-6-2 in their last 26 on grass. Washington are 7-2 in the last 9 meetings. Despite Tuesday’s disappointment I think Strasburg will set things rigjht…
