The Atlanta Braves end their series with the Arizona Diamondbacks in Sunday action.
The Arizona Diamondbacks had been going nowhere until visiting Turner Field and now they are shooting for their third straight win after downing the Braves 4-2 on Saturday. A struggling Shelby Miller looked great with both runs allowed on four hits and a pail of bases on balls over six frames to up his record to 1-3. The Diamondbacks mustered ten hits and walked six times with Welington Castillo driving in a run and scoring while Jean Segura scored twice. Left hander Patrick Corbin draws the start in the final game of the series at Atlanta. Corbin looks to bounce back from a 7-4 loss at Miami with three runs plated on five hits over 5.1 innings.

I thought the Atlanta Braves had a decent opportunity of winning but the defense and offense failed to get the job done. Braves starter Julio Teheran gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits and two free passes with Bud Norris and Arodys Viscaino allowing a run apiece. The Bravos logged four hits and walked three times that featured a long ball off the bat of Freddie Freeman while Mallex Smith drove Reid Brignac with a sacrifice fly. The Atlanta Braves hand the ball to Michael Foltynewicz for the second time in 2016. Foltynewicz dropped a 4-1 decision at the Mets the first time out with four runs given up on eight hits including three homers in 3.2 innings.
Arizona are 3-7 in their last 10 Sunday games and are 6-2 in Corbin’s last 8 road starts while going 7-3 in Corbin’s last 10 road starts. Atlanta are 10-28 in their last 38 home games and the over is 8-3-1 in their last 12 home games while the Braves are 21-52 in their last 73 overall. The Diamondbacks are 4-13 in the last 17 meetings in Atlanta. I’m just going with Arizona because Atlanta is still struggling…
