The Chicago White Sox look to stay hot with another win versus the Minnesota Twins.
The struggles of the Minnesota Twins has been well documented with wins being hard to come by and things didn’t improve Saturday in a 7-2 defeat at the White Sox. Twins starter Ervin Santana gave up three runs on seven hits and three BB with Ryan Pressly allowing two more in an inning of work. The Minnesota attack consisted of four hits and a pair of free passes with Oswaldo Arcia and Jorge Polanco driving in first inning runs. The Minnesota Twins are scheduled to start Tyler Duffey against the White Sox on Sunday. Duffey threw the ball well in a 4-1 loss to Detroit with four runs given up (one earned) on five hits over 6.1 frames.

The slump that many have been waiting for the Chicago White Sox will have to wait for another day. That was because CWS ace Chris Sale was nasty as usual with both runs plated on three hits and a walk while striking out nine through seven innings to pick up the win. The White Sox pounded out 13 hits and walked six times with Todd Frazier going deep and knocking in two and scoring twice while four others drove in runs and scored as every starter reached base safely. Left hander Jose Quintana opposes the Minnesota Twins for the second time in 2016. Quintana shoots for his 4th straight win after downing Boston 4-1 with a solo homer allowed in eight innings.
Minnesota are 3-14 in their last 17 road games and the over is 12-3-2 in their last 17 overall while going 12-3-2 in the Twins last 17 on grass. The under is 9-2 in the White Sox last 11 home games and Chicago are 10-4 in their last 14 overall while the over is 5-2-1 in their last 8 overall. I’m just going with the hot team…
