The Line: Cincinnati Reds -131 / Milwaukee Brewers +121 --- Over/Under: 9 See the Latest Odds
The Milwaukee Brewers look to keep their bats hot after a big time in against the Cincinnati Reds last night as the teams meet up again on Sunday.
The Brew Crew look to build on a 13 run effort against the Reds on Saturday that included a remarkable seven-run 10th inning that opened things up and ultimately led to Milwaukee’s lopsided win. The Brewers head into this game with an 11-18 record and have been bit a bit of a disappointment in the NL Central and while the Reds haven’t been much better they are still in a good spot with a 13-17 mark and the pitching edge in this game as Milwaukee will send Junior Guerra to the mound who is 1-0 with a 6.00 ERA while the Reds will counter with John Lamb who is 0-0 but has a 1.50 ERA.

The Reds head into this one looking to shake off a terrible collapse in extra innings and certainly have the personnel to counter a meltdown like that but they have some some holes they need to patch up or else they will completely fall out of the playoff race before the end of May. The Reds are led by Joey Votto who is coming off a remarkable season but the loss of Todd Frazier in the lineup and Aroldis Chapman in the bullpen has taken its toll and could very well lead to a disappointing year for a Reds team that had been a playoff staple.
Milwaukee is a measly 3-12 in their last 15 games against a left handed pitcher, 1-4 in their last five road games, and 4-10 in their last 14 games overall while the Reds are 6-24 in their last 30 Sunday games, 0-4 in Lamb’s last four starts, and 26-53 in their last 79 games overall. It doesn’t seem like anyone is going to win this game on paper but in the end I like the Reds to bounce back as they have a slight edge on the mound and that should be enough.
