The San Diego Padres look to even their series at the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday.
After sweeping the red hot Chicago Cubs in a doubleheader at Wrigley Field, the San Diego Padres failed to generate any offense in a 1-0 defeat at Milwaukee on Friday. Padres starter Christian Friedrich was outstanding in defeat with the lone run plated on four hits and six free passes over six frames to fall to 0-1. San Diego managed three hits and a pair of walks with Adam Rosales walking and doubling. The Padres offense looked good versus Chicago and will need to find some way to score at Milwaukee who can score in bunches. The Padres have yet to name a starter at this point.

The Milwaukee Brewers haven’t had a lot go their way so Friday’s narrow win was huge especially with the bats not doing much. Of course the Brewers offense didn’t need a big night with Junior Guerra tossing a two hit shutout through six innings to up his record to 2-0. The Brew Crew had opportunities on seven hits and six free passes with Chris Carter smacking a sacrifice fly that plated Domingo Santana in the very first inning. The Milwaukee Brewers send Wily Peralta to the hill to oppose the Padres Saturday. Peralta is coming off of a 4-1 loss at Miami with two runs scored on ten hits over six frames
The under is 11-4 in the Padres last 15 road games. Milwaukee are 1-8 in their last 9 Saturday games and the over is 7-1-1 in their last 9 home games while going 48-23-7 in the Brewers last 78 overall. No line is out yet because the Padres have not named a starter so please check back…
