The Baltimore Orioles need a road win against the Houston Astros in the series opener on Tuesday.
The Baltimore Orioles sit atop the American League East standings with their arms and bats both lending a helping hand. The Orioles come off a rare poor effort in all phases in a 10-2 loss at the Angels with starter Ubaldo Jimenez allowing six runs on eight hits over 5.2 frames with Dylan Bundy giving up four runs in 1.1 innings. The O’s offense mustered five hits and a base on balls with Jonathan Schoop going deep with both runs driven in while Nolan Reimold scored. Baltimore is slated to send Chris Tillman to the bump at Minute Maid Park looking for his 7th win. For the season Tillman has gone 6-1 with a 1.16 WHIP and 2.61 ERA over nine starts.

The Stros totaled five hits with Evan Gattis going deep while Jose Altuve knocked in Jason Castro. The Astros hand the ball to Doug Fister who has been one of the Astros more consistent starters. Overall Fister has gone 4-3 with a decent 1.29 WHIP and 4.22 ERA.

The under is 7-2 in the last 9 meetings in Houston and is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings. I’m a bit worried about Fister but the first place Orioles is the way I’m looking…
