The Milwaukee Brewers play in one of the tougher divisions in the game and will be hard pressed to reach .500. The Brewers have won three of four following Tuesday’s 2-1 victory at Turner Field. With the offense struggling Brew Crew starter Jimmy Nelson allowed the lone run on four hits and a trio of free passes over six frames with three relievers putting up zeros. The Milwaukee offense produced just four hits and walked twice with 15 K’s with Ryan Braun going deep while Scooter Gennett singled in Jonathan Villar. The Brewers give Wednesday’ start versus the Braves to rookie Junior Guerra. Guerra comes off a 5-3 loss to the Cubs with three runs allowed on five hits and three BB while whiffing eleven over seven innings.

The Atlanta Braves are just trying to climb back to respectability which would be quite an accomplishment in the top heavy NL East. The Braves offense never got going Tuesday and a winnable game went by the wayside with starter Julio Teheran allowing a solo homer and striking out 12 through seven innings before Bud Norris gave up a run in the 8th to drop to 1-5. The Bravos mustered five hits and walked four times with Mailex Smith smacking a run scoring triple that plated Erick Aybar.The Braves are scheduled to start Michael Foltynewicz against visiting Milwaukee Wednesday. Foltynewics is coming off of an 8-2 loss at Pittsburgh with five runs allowed (four earned) on seven hits in three frames.
Milwaukee are 17-36 in their last 53 road games and the over is 29-14-3 in Milwaukee’s last 46 road games.
