After dropping three straight the Indians have won consecutive contests after downin the White Sox 6-2 on the road Tuesday. Tribe starter Josh Tomlin was at his best in improving to 7-0 with both runs scored on five hits over eight frames. The Tribe logged ten hits and walked five times with Chris Gimenez going solo with Mike Napoli driving in two while Francisco Lindor scored twice.Former Cy Young award winner Corey Kluber draws Wednesday’s series ending start at Chicago. Kluber was at his best in a 4-2 victory at Boston last time out with both runs plated on five hits and a pair of BB over seven innings.

The Chicago White Sox have dramatically slowed from their hot start but still remain atop the American League Central despite dropping eight of eleven after Tuesday’s loss to visiting Cleveland. Even ace Chris Sale couldn’t save Chicago as he was charged with all six runs on seven hits and four free passes through 3.1 innings to drop his record to 9-1. The White Sox offense never got untracked with six hits and a base on balls with Adam Eaton going 2-4 with a solo jack while Brett Lawrie doubled in Jose Abreu who logged three hits. Left hander Jose Quintana will be on the bump Wednesday to face the Indians for the first time in 2016. Quintana had a rare off night in a 4-1 loss to Kansas City with all four runs scored on eight hits in 6.1 frames.
