The Los Angeles Angels look to chalk up another in the win column as they continue their AL West show down in Texas against the Rangers.
The Angels are starting to heat up and if they can continue that success against their rivals in the AL West it could go a long way in determining how far they can go this season which is something not many expected heading into the season. The Angels will turn to Hector Santiago in this one as he will match up against the undefeated Colby Lewis who carries a 3-0 record and a 2.75 ERA which rivals that of the Halos flame thrower who is 3-2 with a 3.93 mark. The Angels are still three games under the .500 mark sitting at 21-24 but have won six of their last seven games while the Rangers are 25-20 and are the odds on favourites to win the AL West division.

The Rangers head into this game struggling against teams with a losing record but they did leg out a 4-1 win yesterday against these Angels and can continue to mount some space in the AL West standings as they and the Mariners are battling at the moment. Texas has a very solid roster that was a win away from the ALCS last season and will certainly be using that game as motivation to go further this season and it is these games against divisional foes that make the difference and with Lewis on the mound here they stand a great chance once again.
The Angels are 5-1 in their last six against the AL West, 6-1 in their last seven road games, and 7-2 in their last nine against a right handed starter, while the Rangers are 41-20 in their last 61 home games, 4-1 in their last five during game three of a series, and 1-5 in Lewis’ last six starts during a game three. Texas is the better team here and have the pitching edge and being at home I think they get another win against their divisional foes.
