The Cleveland Indians host the Baltimore Orioles Saturday afternoon at Progressive Field.
The Baltimore Orioles have dropped from first in the American League East and need a change in momentum. The Orioles snapped a four game slide with a 6-4 win at Cleveland Friday night. O’s starter Mike Wright gave up three runs on six hits and two BB over 4.2 frames with four relievers finishing things off. The Birds pounded out 13 hits and walked twice with Mark Trumbo going 2-4 with a homer and two RBI’s while Manny Machado went 4-6 with an RBI and two runs. Chris Davis knocked in a run and scored with Jonathan Schoop knocked in two while every starter but two reached base. The Orioles are hoping Ubaldo Jimenez can right the ship from his recent struggles. In his last three outings Jimenez has allowed16 runs on 22 hits and ten BB over 15 innings of work.

The Cleveland Indians have climbed to second in the American League Central and have their sights set on first. The surging Indians saw their three game winning streak come to an end Friday with the pen letting them down. Tribe starter Trevor Bauer gave up three runs on nine hits through six innings before Zach McAllister allowed three runs in an inning to get the loss. Cleveland mustered ten hits and walked four times with Francisco Lindor cracking a two run bomb while Mike Napoli went solo. The Indians are slated to give the ball to Danny Salazar who has yet to face the Orioles this season. Salazar comes off of a 5-2 defeat at Boston where he gave up four runs on eight hits and a trio of BB in 4.1 frames.
The under is 7-0-1 in Jimenez’ last 8 Saturday starts. Cleveland are 8-3 in their last 11 overall and are 8-3 in their last 11 games on grass while going 8-3 in their last 11 home games. The under is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings. The Orioles are dangerous but I prefer Salazar over Jimenez…
