The New York Mets continue their series at Miller Park and the Milwaukee Brewers Saturday.
The New York Mets are right in the mix in the National League East race and are looking for that elusive hot streak. The Mets might be on their way after Friday’s 2-1, eleven inning victory was their third straight. NYM starter Matt Harvey gave up a run on two hits and a pair of BB over six frames for a no decision while five relievers tossed one scoreless inning each. New York totaled ten hits and walked twice with Yoenis Cespedes going deep while Matt Reynolds drove in Asdrubal Cabrera. Logan Verrett makes his third start of the season and matches up with Milwaukee for the first time in his career. Verrett comes off of a 7-4 loss at Colorado with all seven runs plated on ten hits and three BB over 2.2 innings.

The goal for the Milwaukee Brewers is to reach .500 and then see how the rest of the season unfolds. The Brewers took a step back from their goal and have lost consecutive contests as the offense stalled and a great performance on the mound went by the wayside. Brew Crew starter Junior Guerra gave up a lone run on five hits and three bases on balls through 6.2 innings before Blaine Boyer absorbed the loss with a run scored in the 11th. Milwaukee was held to three hits and walked six times with a Ramon Flores sac fly scoring Kirk Nieuwenhuis. The Brewers hand the ball to Wily Peralta who has struggled the past two times out. Peralta has allowed eight earned runs on 16 hits and four BB in 9.1 frames of back to back defeats.
The over is 7-1 in the Mets last 8 Saturday games. The over is 13-3-1 in Milwaukee’s last 17 Saturday games and the Brewers are 5-16 in their last 21 Saturday games while the under is 17-8-2 in their last 27 overall. The under is 18-7-1 in the last 26 meetings. Not thrilled with the pitching but the Mets as the better t;eam…
