The Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves continue their series at Turner Field Wednesday.
The Cincinnati Reds are trying to rebuild on the fly with young faces throughout their pitching staff. The Reds have won three of four thanks to stellar work on the mound in a 3-1 victory at Turner Field on Tuesday. Cincy starter Brandon Finnegan was at the top of his game with the lone run allowed on four hits and three BB over six frames to get the win. The Reds mustered three hits and walked three times with Jay Bruce clubbing a three run bomb in the first. Cincinnati gives the ball to Anthony DeSclafani for his second start of the season. DeSlafani won his 2016 debut2-1 versus Oakland with the only run scored on a solo homer over six innings.

The Atlanta Braves have struggled to get both their arms and bats on the same page and that’s reflected in their record. The Braves have now dropped ten of 12 despite a strong effort on the mound as the offense never got going with the bases loaded in the 9th netting nothing. The Bravos logged five hits and walked five times with Julio Teheran driving in Adonis Garcia with the only run. Bud Norris toes the rubber Wednesday against visiting Cincinnati for the first time since 2014. Norris comes off of a 5-1 victory versus the Cubs with the lone run allowed on four hits in seven frames.
The over is 6-1-1 in Cincinnati’s last 8 road games and is 11-4-1 in their last 16 Wednesday games while the Reds are 17-38 in their last 55 road games. Atlanta are 16-41 in their last 57 home games and are 18-45 in their last 63 overall while the Braves are 18-45 in their last 63 games on grass. Cincinnati are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings. No edge here just like there was no edge Tuesday and I advise to look elsewhere…
