The Chicago White Sox open a series at Progressive Field versus the Cleveland Indians.
The Chicago White Sox are just a few games out of first in the American League Central despite a two week slide. The White Sox have won two of three after knocking off Detroit 5-3 on Wednesday. CWS ace Chris gave up all three runs on six hits over seven frames to improve to 11-2. Chicago logged nine hits and walked four times with five players driving in runs while Tim Anderson went 3-5 with three runs. Left hander Jose Quintana will be looking for support when he faces Cleveland for the second time in 2016. Quintana comes off of a 4-1 loss to Kansas City with three runs allowed on six hits including three homers over eight innings.

The Cleveland Indians sit atop the American League Central although they haven’t been playing well. The Indians are looking to regroup after dropping three in a row following a 9-4 loss at Kansas City on Wednesday. Tribe starter Corey Kluber was hit hard with eight runs allowed on nine hits through five innings while five relievers gave up one run. The Tribe mustered five hits and a pair of free passes with Rajai Davis smacking a two run homer while Michael Martinez went 3-3 with a homer, two RBI’s and a pair of runs. Trevor Bauer gets the ball in the series opener against the visiting White Sox. Bauer did not get a decision in a 4-3 defeat at the Angels with three runs given up (two earned) on nine hits in eight frames.
The White Sox are 2-9 in their last 11 road games and the over is 16-5-1 in their last 22 road games while Chicago are are 6-15 in their last 21 overall. Cleveland are 14-3 in their last 17 Friday games and the over is 6-2-1 in their last 9 games following a loss while the under is 8-3-2 in the Indians last 13 overall. The over is 7-2-2 in the last 11 meetings. I don’t like the way the Tribe look now but they have great talent…
