The Minnesota Twins continue their series in the Big Apple versus the New York Yankees.

The Minnesota Twins are in survival mode as they haven’t won consistently and are already in the role of spoiler. The Twins looked good in their series versus Philadelphia but didn’t fare well in a 5-3 series opening defeat at the Yankees on Friday. Minnesota starter Tommy Milone allowed four runs (one earned) on six hits over 3.2 frames to fall to 0-2. The Twins attack consisted of seven hits and two free passes with Eduardo Nunez driving in two runs while Byron Buxton knocked in a run and scored. Minnesota goes with Ervin Santana on the bump for game two of their series with the Yankees. Santana defeated New York 7-4 last time out with three runs scored (two earned) on six hits over 7.1 innings.
