Up at Miller Park on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Milwaukee Brewers will be continuing their early-week series.
This will be game two of the series. In Tuesday’s opener, the Dodgers eked out a 6-5 victory.

For Wednesday’s game, the Dodgers will be bringing out highly-anticipated prospect Brock Stewart (RHP). Last Wednesday at the Triple-A level, Stewart put up six innings of one-hit ball for a victory.
At the plate, Los Angeles has some high-priced swingers. Corey Seager has 90 hits with 51 runs, 16 homers and 38 RBI so far. Adrian Gonzalez has 74 hits with 26 runs and 34 RBI. Gonzalez bagged three hits on Tuesday. Chase Utley is playing fairly well on a .260 BA with 65 hits, 38 runs and 25 RBI in 2016.
On the Brewers’ side, we’ll be seeing right-hander Junior Guerra on the mound Wednesday. In 10 starts and a 4-1 record this year, Guerra has put up a 3.67 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP in 61.1 innings. Last Wednesday against the A’s, Guerra logged seven innings with five hits and two runs.
You don’t have to look far to find the stars in the Milwaukee order. Jonathan Villar has 81 hits with 38 runs and 30 RBI. Ryan Braun has hit 78 times with 33 runs, 12 homers and 40 RBI. Jonathan Lucroy has 78 hits with 38 runs, 10 homers and 38 RBI on the year.
The Dodgers are 12-3 in their last 15 game twos of a series, and 8-3 in their last 11 overall. Los Angeles is also 5-9 in their last 14 road games against a team with a losing record and 2-5 in their last seven road games versus a right-handed starter.
As for the Brewers, they’re 4-1 in their last five Wednesday games, and 4-1 in Guerra’s last five game twos of a series. Milwaukee is also 8-2 in Guerra’s last 10 starts overall and 8-2 in Guerra’s last 10 starts on grass.
I like the way Guerra is pitching right now, so I think he’ll carry the Brewers to a victory. It will be interesting to see Stewart in the starting role, however.
