The Birds pounded out 12 hits with Mark Trumbo going 2-4 with a homer and two RBI’s while JJ Hardy had two hits and drove in two.Veteran Yovani Gallardo draws Monday’s start at the Dodgers for his 4th outing since coming off the DL. Gallardo comes off a 12-6 victory at San Diego with three runs plated on three hits and three BB over six innings.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been playing well and need to continue along that path if they expect to catch San Francisco in the NL West. The Dodgers stayed hot for yet another day and have won five of six after downing the visiting Rockies 4-1. LAD starter Brandon McCarthy improved to 1-0 with five scoreless innings before four relievers closed the deal. Los Angeles mustered six hits and four walks with Trayce Thompson and Yasmani Grandal slamming solo homers. Rookie Julio Urias toes the rubber for the first time versus the dangerous Orioles Monday. Urias has been solid over his last three outings where he has gone 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA.
Baltimore are 7-1 in their last 8 interleague games and the under is 18-7-2 in their last 27 Monday games while the Orioles 7-3 in their last 10 overall. Los Angeles are 20-6 in their last 26 home games and are 4-9 in their last 13 Monday games while the under is 43-20 in their last 63 home games. Baltimore are 2-6 in their last 8 meetings.
