Right-hander Archie Bradley will be making the start for the Diamondbacks on Sunday. Over his 10 starts and 3-4 record this year, Bradley has put up a 4.81 ERA with a 1.40 WHIP in 58 innings. In his last outing, Bradley managed a loss with six innings, six hits and five runs against the Padres.
At the plate, the Arizona lineup features a few notable names. Jean Segura is way out front on 110 hits with 52 runs and 36 RBI. Paul Goldschmidt has hit 15 homers with 58 RBI, 95 hits and 53 runs. Jake Lamb holds 83 hits with a team-high 20 homers, 61 RBI and 49 runs.
Over on the Giants’ side, we’ll be seeing lefty Madison Bumgarner on the mound Sunday. In his 18 starts and 9-4 record this year, Bumgarner has put up a 2.09 ERA with a 1.02 WHIP in 120.2 innings. In his last outing against the Rockies, Bumgarner put up a no-decision on four hits and no runs in six innings.
The San Francisco lineup features a few noteworthy names as well. Brandon Belt sits on top with 91 hits, 45 runs, 10 homers and 47 RBI. Brandon Crawford has hit 83 times with 37 runs and 58 RBI. Denard Span isn’t far back with 77 hits, 38 runs and 30 RBI.
The Diamondbacks are 5-2 in their last seven Sunday games, and 0-4 in their last four game threes of a series. Arizona is also 2-5 in Bradley’s last seven starts, and 4-1 in Bradley’s last five road starts.
As for the Giants, they’re 4-0 in their last four Sunday games, and 16-5 in their last 21 game threes of a series. San Francisco is also 19-7 in Bumgarner’s last 26 Sunday starts, and 7-3 in Bumgarner’s last 10 starts in game three of a series.
I like Bumgarner’s pitching lately, so I’ll take the Giants for the win here.
