The Colorado Rockies have been right around the .500 mark the last few weeks and that won’t help them. Wednesday’s 11-3 defeat the hands of visiting Tampa Bay didn’t help either with the pitching breaking down. Rockies starter Jorge De La Rosa was charged with nine runs (seven earned) on eleven hits and a pair of BB through four innings. Colorado logged eight hits and three free passes with Daniel Descalso driving in a run and scoring while Charlie Blackmon and Tony Wolters knocked in runs. Colorado is scheduled to start Chad Bettis Thursday in his second straight meeting with Atlanta. Bettis defeated the Braves 4-3 with all three runs given upon six hits and three BB in 6.2 frames.
The under is 12-4 in Atlanta’s last 16 road games and the Braves are 8-20 in their last 28 Thursday games while going 25-56 in their last 81 road games. The over is 9-0 in the Rockies last 9 Thursday games. The Braves are 2-10 in the last 12 meetings. Atlanta has the better hurler and Colorado has the better team so use caution…
