The Colorado Rockies look for a win after winning four of their last seven games. The Rockies have scored 11 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in seven of their last 13 games. The Colorado Rockies offense has been hit or miss lately, and they’ve won seven straight games when scoring more than three runs. Carlos Gonzalez leads Colorado with 114 hits, DJ LeMahieu has 33 RBI and Nolan Arenado has 23 home runs. Jon Gray takes the hill, and he’s 5-4 with a 4.33 ERA and 103 strikeouts this season. This will be Gray’s second career game against the Braves.
The Braves are 14-37 in their last 51 during game 2 of a series and 5-14 in Teherans last 19 starts. The Rockies are 15-38 in their last 53 during game 2 of a series and 1-6 in Grays last 7 starts. The Braves are 5-1 in Teherans last 6 starts vs. Rockies.
Teheran gives the Braves an advantage here, but I'm not sure that matters in Coors where the balls fly out of the yard. Bottom line is I have little confidence in the Braves offense and the Rockies have to take advantage of teams like this to have any shot of getting back in the wild card race. Give me the home team for another win.
