The Toronto Blue Jays have been known for their arms more then anything in 2015 but their bats have been lending a hand lately. The Blue Jays seemed to be heading to the top of the American League East but have now dropped consecutive contests with their pitch failing them Saturday. Jays starter RA Dickey was charged with six runs through three innings to fall to 7-11 before Jesse Chavez gave up five more in 2/3 of an inning. Toronto posted eight hits and walked three times with Justin Smoak smacking a two run bomb while Michael Saunders homered twice. Left hander JA Happ toes the rubber against the visiting Mariners on Sunday afternoon. Happ defeated Oakland 5-3 last time out with all three runs given up on five hits in 5.2 frames.
The under is 9-2 in Seattle’s last 11 road games and the Mariners are 5-16 in their last 21 road games while going 3-9 in their last 12 Sunday games. Toronto are 8-2 in their last 10 games on astroturf and are 8-2 in their last 10 home games while going 11-4 in their last 15 overall. Seattle are 6-2 in the last 8 meetings. The Jays can look really bad at times and this is no gimme….
