The Baltimore Orioles host the Colorado Rockies in game two of their series at Camden Yards.
The Colorado Rockies are driving to reach .500 and perhaps even further if the wins keep rolling in. The Rockies hot streak ended Monday in a 3-2, ten inning defeat at Baltimore where the offense never got going. Colorado starter Jorge De La Rosa allowed two runs (one earned) over 6.1 frames before Jordan Lyles gave up a walk off run in the 10th. The Rockies were held to six hits and two BB with Nolan Arenado going solo with Mark Reynolds driving in David Dahl. Chad Bettis shoots for his 4th straight win when he takes on the Orioles on Tuesday. Over his last three, Bettis has gone 3-0 with a 1.00 WHIP and 1.29 ERA covering 21 innings.

The Baltimore Orioles dropped out of first in the American League East for a day but have since rebounded. The Orioles run reached five games following Monday’s victory. O’s starter Yovani Gallardo gave up both runs through 6.2 innings with three relievers putting up zeros. The Birds mustered six hits and three walks with Adam Jones going 2-5 with a pair of RBI’s and a run. The Orioles send ace Chris Tillman to the mound to face the Rockies for the first time in his career. On the season, Tillman has gone 14-2 with a 3.18 ERA over 21 outings.

The under is 9-0 in Baltimore’s last 9 on grass and is 13-3 in their last 16 overall while the Orioles are 41-14 in their last 55 home games. The under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings. I’ll go with the steady Tillman here…
