The Arizona Diamondbacks visit Miller Park to face the Milwaukee Brewers Thursday.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have been slowly fading with the team needing help on the mound and at the plate. The Diamondbacks had dropped seven of ten before putting everything together in an 8-1 win at Milwaukee Wednesday. Snakes starter Archie Bradley gave up the lone run over seven frames for the win. The D-Backs pounded out 12 hits and walked twice with Yasmany Tomas going deep two times and driving in five while Welington Castillo drove in a run and scored twice. Robbie Ray takes the mound Thursday for the first time in his career against Milwaukee. Ray comes off of a 6-1 loss at Cincinnati with all six runs plated on six hits over five innings.

The Milwaukee Brewers know they are going nowhere this year so the goal is to take as many hopefuls as possible with them. The Brewers had won three of four before struggling in all areas Wednesday night. Brew Crew starter Jimmy Nelson was charged with all eight runs (six earned) on nine hits including a pair of long balls through 4.2 innings. Milwaukee was held to five hits and three bases on balls with Hernan Perez knocking in Jonathan Lucroy. A red hot Zach Davies toes the rubber against the Diamondbacks for the first time in his career. Over his last three times out, Davies has gone 2-0 with a 0.95 WHIP and 1.35 ERA.
Arizona are 1-9 in their last 10 road games and are 7-20 in their last 27 overall while going 7-19 in their last 26 games on grass. Milwaukee are 4-11 in their last 15 Thursday games and the under is 5-2-1 in their last 8 Thursday games while going 5-2-1 in their last 8 home games. The over is 8-2 in the last 10 meetings in Milwaukee. Sometimes betting on two bad teams is very dangerous…
