The Los Angeles Angels look to get back on track and spoil the party as they face off against the AL Central leading Cleveland Indians on Friday night.
The Los Angeles Angels head into Cleveland looking to take down the Tribe over the weekend and they will be in tough in their series opener as they send Tyler Skaggs to the mound to face off against Carlos Carrasco. The Halos have bene a far cry from their perennial contender lineups over the years and while they still have Mike Trout on the roster he hasn’t had a ton of support this season despite being the running for the AL MVP award yet again. The Angels are 3-7 in their last 10 games but they have dominated the AL Central of late as they are 7-1 in their last eight games and will look to add to that trend in what will need to be one of their better games of the season.

The Indians meanwhile will look to snap out of their current 4-6 slump and reclaim a sizeable lead in the AL Central standings which has slid down to just four with the Detroit Tigers fast approaching. Cleveland has been one of the best teams in the league this season and are as good a bet as any to emerge out of the American League this season, especially with a revamped bullpen that was bolstered with the acquisition of Andrew Miller.
The Angels are 0-6 in their last six road games, 5-2 in Skaggs’ last seven starts, and 2-7 in their last nine Friday games while the Indians are 4-0 in their last four against the AL West, 9-1 in their last 10 games at home against a lefty, and 21-6 in their last 27 Friday games. LA is in tough here as Carrasco gets the ball and the Tribe should cruise to an easy win.
