Atlanta Braves vs. Washington Nationals - 8/21/16 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Atlanta Braves can be a thorn in the side of any team but they are struggling right now. The Braves made life difficult for Washington Saturday with a late scoring flourish but in the end have lost nine of eleven. Bravos starter Tyrell Jenkins was charged with nine runs on eight h/its including three long balls through 3.1 innings to fall to 2-4 and raise his ERA above six. Atlanta logged 12 hits with Chase d’Arnaud and Adonis Garcia combining for five RBI’s while every player but one reached base.Rookie Joel De La Rosa draws his 7th start of the season and first ever versus the Nationals. De La Rosa dropped a 4-2 decision to visiting Minnesota last time out despite giving up one run in 5.2 frames.

The over is 7-2 in Washington’s last 9 overall and  is 7-2 in their last 9 on grass while the Nationals  are 6-2 in their last 8 road games. The over is 7-1 in Atlanta’s last 8 overall and  is 7-1 in their last 8 on grass while the under is 7-2 in their last 9 Sunday games. Washington are 24-5 in the last 29 meetings and the under is 6-2-1 in the last 9 meetings in Atlanta. Perhaps something small on the Nats or look elsewhere…
