The Colorado Rockies shoot for a win at Miller Park versus the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Colorado Rockies still have a shot at .500 and the postseason although the past few weeks haven’t helped. The Rockies bullpen failed them in a 6-4 loss at Miller Park Tuesday night. Rockies starter Jon Gray gave up two runs and stuck out ten in six frames with three relievers allowing four runs. Colorado logged eleven hits and walked five times with Nolan Arenado going 3-4 with a homer and three RBI’s. The Rockies go with Tyler Anderson on the bump for his first career match up against the Brewers. Anderson has struggled the past two times out with nine runs scored over ten innings.

The Milwaukee Brewers want to escape the National League Central basement and finish 2016 strong. The Brewers took a step towards their goal with Tuesday’s victory and have now won three in a row. Brew Crew starter Chase Anderson gave up three runs on six hits and a pair of free passes over five innings before four relievers gave up a run. Milwaukee posted eight hits and five walks with Hernan Perez driving in two runs while Jonathan Villar knocked in a run and scored. Zach Davies toes the rubber for his first ever meeting versus the Rockies on Wednesday. Davies has been hit hard the past two times out with 12 runs allowed in nine frames.
Colorado are 6-2 in Anderson’s last 8 starts and are 6-2 in Anderson’s last 8 starts on grass. Milwaukee are 2-6 in their last 8 overall and are 2-6 in their last 8 games on grass while the under is 9-4-1 in the Brewers last 14 Wednesday games. Colorado are 6-2 in the last 8 meetings and the over is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings in Milwaukee. No edge so I’ll take the better team…
