The once left for dead Kansas City Royals have suddenly come back to life and it remains to be seen if they can continue their torrid pace. The Royals cooled off for a night in a 3-0 defeat at Miami which put an end to their nine game winning streak. KC starter Dillon Gee absorbed the loss with all three runs plated on five hits over 5.1 frames. Kansas City mustered eight hits and three walks with every starter reaching base despite not scoring. Veteran Edinson Volquez toes the rubber against the Marlins for the first time since 2014.
