In MLB action on Saturday, the Baltimore Orioles and the New York Yankees will be meeting once again at Yankee Stadium.
This will be game two of the set. On Friday in the opener, New York pummeled Baltimore 14-4.
USA TODAY Sports
For Saturday’s game, the Orioles will be bringing out RHP Dylan Bundy. In his 30 games (eight starts) and 7-4 record this year, Bundy owns a 3.33 ERA with a 1.28 WHIP in 81 innings. Buddy put up a win in his last outing, going six innings against Washington with two earned and three hits.
The Orioles have lots of offensive weapons at their disposal. Manny Machado has put up 153 hits with 89 runs, 31 homers and 81 RBI. Adam Jones holds 137 hits with 74 runs, 24 homers and 74 RBI. Jonathan Schoop has hit 136 times with 68 runs, 20 homers and 68 RBI.
Over on the Yankees side, we’ll be seeing RHP Chad Green. In his 10 games (six starts) and 2-3 record this year, Green has posted a 3.66 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP in 39.1 innings. Green posted a loss against the Angels his last time out, going six innings with five hits and one earned.
New York has a few notable hitters as well. Didi Gregorius has hit 125 times with 53 runs, 17 homers and 57 RBI. Starlin Castro sits on 126 hits with 53 runs, 17 homers and 57 RBI. Jacoby Ellsbury has hit 115 times with 55 runs and 43 RBI.
The Orioles are 1-5 in their last six game twos of a series, and 0-4 in their last four Saturday games. Baltimore is also 4-1 in Bundy’s last five starts, and 4-1 in Bundy’s last five starts on grass.
Meanwhile, the Yankees are 4-1 in their last five game twos of a series, and 9-3 in their last 12 home games against a team with a losing road record. The under is 5-2 in the Yankees’ last seven overall.
Baltimore has been playing pretty well lately. New York has as well, however, and I think Green can rein in the Orioles offense.
