Headed our way in MLB action from Turner Field on Tuesday, we’ve got game one of a three-game set between the San Diego Padres and the Atlanta Braves.
The Padres are fresh off a three-game series against the Marlins. San Diego dropped game one but came back to win the final pair by a total of three runs.

Meanwhile, the Braves just finished against the Giants. Atlanta won game two but dropped the other two games and the series.
Pitching for the Padres on Tuesday will be RHP Edwin Jackson. In his seven games and 3-4 record this year, Jackson holds a 5.71 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP in 52 innings. Against the Cubs his last time out, Jackson took a loss with five innings, seven hits and five earned.
The Padres have a few notable players on their roster. Will Myers has 126 hits with 81 runs, 23 homers and 73 RBI. Alexi Ramirez has hit 100 times with 33 runs and 41 RBI. Yangervis Solarte has 85 hits with 44 runs and 53 RBI.
Over on the Braves’ side, we’ll be seeing RHP Julio Teheran on Tuesday. in 23 starts with a 3-9 record, Teheran owns a 3.15 ERA with a 1.03 WHIP in 145.2 innings. In Arizona in his last start, Teheran took a no-decision on 11 hits and six runs.
The Braves have a few key hitters at the top of their order as well. Freddie Freeman has 140 hits with 78 runs, 27 homers and 64 RBI. Nick Markakis has hit 132 times with 51 runs and 73 RBI. Ender Enciarte has posted 112 hits with 58 runs and 23 RBI.
The Padres are 2-5 in their last seven game ones of a series, and 2-6 in their last eight road games. San Diego is also 7-25 in their last 32 Tuesday games, and 2-12 in their last 14 games following a win.

There’s not much to get excited about in this game, but I like Teheran to take the win. Give me the Braves.
