As for the Rays, they just finished with the Blue Jays, winning both their first two games as well. On Sunday, Tampa lost 5-3.

The Orioles will be bringing out right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez on Monday. Across 25 games (20 starts) and a 5-11 record, Jimenez has a 6.46 ERA With a 1.80 ERA in 107.1 innings. Against Toronto his last tie up, Jimenez logged 6.2 innings with five hits and three runs in a no-decision.

It’s easy to find talent on the Baltimore batting order. Manny Machado has hit 163 times with 94 runs, 33 homers and 85 RBI. Jonathan Schoop has hit 142 times with 71 runs, 21 homers and 70 RBI. Adam Jones sits on 143 hits with 77 runs, 25 homers and 76 RBI.

Over on the Rays’ side, we’ll be seeing right-hander Matt Andriese Monday. Across 24 games (14 starts) and a 6-6 record, Andriese owns a 4.19 ERA with a 1.20 WHIP in 101 innings. Andriese put up a loss against the Red Sox his last tie out, allowing 10 hits with seven runs in four innings.

Tampa Bay has some nice hitters as well. Evan Longoria leads the way with 148 hits, 70 runs, 31 homers and 85 RBI. Brad Miller has hit 118 times with 62 runs, 26 homers and 69 RBI. As for Logan Forsythe, he’s got 115 hits with 66 runs and 46 RBI.

The Orioles are 2-5 in their last seven Monday games, and 8-20 in Jimenez’s last 28 road starts. Baltimore is also 1-4 in Jimenez’s last five starts, and 5-2 in Jimenez’s last seven starts following a quality start in his last appearance.

Meanwhile, the Rays are 17-35 in their last 52 game ones of a series, and 1-5 in their last six Monday games. Tampa Bay is also 1-5 in Andriese’s last six Monday games, and 1-6 in Andriese’s last seven starts.

I think Jimenez has the Rays’ number here, so I’ll take the Orioles for the opening-game victory.
