The Houston Astros and Cleveland Indians continue their pivotal show down at Progressive Field on Tuesday after the visitors netted a big win last night.
The Astros got a massive road win against a very good Indians team last night and they will be out for more in this one as they send Brad Peacock to the mound to face off against Corey Kluber in a pitching matchup that clearly favours the Tribe. Houston though has a ton of weapons in the lineup both at the plate and in the field and if they are going to get a win here they are going to have to find a new hear against one of the best pitchers in baseball and a team that is starting to feel the heat a little bit in their quest for a division crown. Houston is in the race for an AL wild card spot and a successful series against the Indians would certainly go a long way in propelling them into a spot as we are past the one month mark before we see some postseason baseball.

The Indians look to shake off a tough loss yesterday as they were pasted by the Astros but trends are in their favour here as they send Kluber to the mound who is having another spectacular season as the ace for the AL Central leaders. Cleveland has had recent success in games on a Tuesday as they are 8-2 in their last 10 games and with a victory in this one they will earn their 80th victory of the season and give Kluber his 16th in the process. Kluber is 15-8 with a 3.28 ERA while Peacock will replace Dallas Keuchel who was projected to start but is sidelined for this one and possibly even more.
The Astros are 2-5 in their last seven Tuesday games, 3-9 in Peacock’s last 12 starts, and 11-4 in their last 15 overall while the Indians are 6-1 in their last seven overall, 36-15 in their last 51 home games, and 6-0 in their last six games on grass. Cleveland are chalk favourites here but rightfully so as Kluber gives them a huge edge and in the end I expect them to rebound after yesterday’s loss.
