The Line: Milwaukee Brewers +163 / Chicago Cubs -173 --- Over/Under: 9 See the Latest Odds
The Chicago Cubs look to continue their road success as they face off against the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park on Tuesday.
The Cubs continue to look like a World Series favourite with just under a month to go in the regular season and if they can finish the way they started they should have no issues locking up home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Chicago has a rotation that is among the best in baseball, a bullpen anchored by Aroldis Chapman, and an offense led by NL MVP favourite Kris Bryant and with Joe Maddon making the calls this is one very good baseball team and probably the best the Cubs have put together in quite some time. They will send Jason Hammel to the mound here as he will face off against Wily Peralta who is having a very tough season and will be in tough here against a Cubs side that continues to steam roll teams.

The Brewers haven’t had a great season and have moved on from some key pieces in hopes of overhauling the roster in the offseason, and with the latest trade rumor surrounding Ryan Braun and a potential swap for Yasiel Puig it is clear the Brewers are ready for a changing of the guard. Milwaukee dropped a 7-2 decision last night and things don’t look much better today as Peralta has a 5-9 record and a staggering 5.53 ERA and against Hammel who is 14-7 with a 3.14 mark it is clear to see why the Cubs are heavy favourites on the road in this one.
The Cubs are 37-14 in their last 51 games, 5-1 in Hammel’s last six Tuesday starts, and 7-2 in his last nine overall while the Brewers are 4-1 in their last five overall, 1-7 in their last eight home games, and 1-4 in Peralta’s last five. The Cubs are the better team with a better pitcher going and should win this one without any trouble at all.
