The Kansas City Royals postseason hopes might be slim but that’s better then nothing . The Royals took a step in the right direction with Tuesday’s 10-3 win at Target Field and have won three of four. KC starter Dillon Gee allowed all three runs on three solo homers over six frames. The Kansas City attack produced ten hits and five walks with Kendrys Morales clubbing two homers and driving in five while Paulo Orlando dove in a pair. Danny Duffy draws Wednesday’s start in the final game of the series versus Minnesota. Duffy has struggled the past two times out with eleven runs plated on 18 hits over 10.2 innings.

It’s tough to say what we’ll see from the Minnesota Twins but I would be looking at players for next year. The Twins have dropped nine of eleven following Tuesday night’s defeat where nothing went as planned. Minnesota starter Ervin Santana gave up three runs on three hits and a trio of BB through six innings before Brandon Kintzler and Pat Light combined for five runs allowed. The Twins logged eight hits and walked once with Trevor Plouffe, Brian Dozier and Eddie Rosario each leaving the yard. Kyle Gibson toes the rubber versus rival Kansas City in the series finale’ on Wednesday. Gibson has had problems the past three times out with an 0-2 record with a 2.00 WHIP and 7.88 ERA.
