The Baltimore Orioles look to make up ground in the East with a win at Tampa Bay Wednesday.
The Baltimore Orioles are in a three team race for the American League East lead. After Tuesday’s 11-2 win at Tropicana Field, the Orioles have won four of five and stayed in the division race. O’s starter Yovani Gallardo gave up both runs (one earned) over five frames to get the win. The Birds amassed 14 hits with Adam Jones and Chris Davis going solo while Manny Machado homered and drove in five followed by JJ Hardy with two RBI’s and two runs. Dylan Bundy is slated to get Wednesday’s start at Tropicana Field versus Tampa Bay for the second time. Bundy comes off of an 8-0 win versus the Yankees with 5.2 scoreless innings.

The Tampa Bay Rays have to figure out who or who not is going to be on the roster in 2017 and now is a time to look at some players. The Rays didn’t have anything go right Tuesday and the result was an 11-2 defeat to the visiting Orioles. TB starter Jake Odorizzi was charged with seven runs on six hits including a pair of long balls through four innings wile three relievers allowed four runs. Tampa Bay mustered eight hits and walked twice with Logan Forsythe going deep. Left hander Drew Smyly makes his third start of the season against the Orioles. Smyly struggled last time out in an 8-6 loss at Boston with five runs allowed on seven hits including two homers in five frames.
