On Wednesday, the Braves will be bringing out RHP Mike Foltynewicz for the start. In his 19 starts and 8-5 record this year, Foltynewicz owns a 4.31 ERA with a 1.25 WHIP in 108.2 innings. Foltynewicz got a win in his last start against San Diego, going six innings with four hits and three earned.

Let’s check out a few of the key Braves hitters. Freddie Freeman leads the way with 151 hits, 85 runs, 29 homers and 73 RBI. Nick Markakis has logged 139 hits with 55 runs and 75 RBI. Adonis Garcia sits on 119 hits with 54 runs and 51 RBI.

Over on the Nationals’ side, Washington hasn't officially announced their starter for Wednesday, but we'll update once they do.

The Nationals have a few notable hitters of their own. Daniel Murphy has logged 168 hits with 83 runs, 25 homers and 98 RBI. Anthony Rendon sits on 135 hits with 82 runs and 69 RBI. Wilson Ramos has put up 131 hits with 54 runs and 72 RBI.

The Braves are 20-43 in their last 63 game threes of a series, and 3-7 in their last 10 Wednesday games. Atlanta is also 4-1 in Foltynewicz’s last five road starts, and 1-4 in Foltynewicz’s last five Wednesday starts.

As for the Nationals, they’re 85-39 in their last 124 Wednesday games, and 6-1 in their last seven games against a right-handed starter. Washington is also 44-19 in their last 63 against the National League East, and 6-2 in their last eight overall.

Head to head, the Nationals should be able to take the Braves here, as long as they can solve Foltynewicz.
