On Monday, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees will be getting their MLB series going from Yankee Stadium.
The Dodgers just finished up a set against the Marlins. The two teams split the first pair of games, and on Sunday LA dropped another one 0-3.

Meanwhile, the Yankees played the Rays over the weekend. New York took the first three games by a combined seven runs, and in the finale, the Yankees missed the sweep with a 4-2 loss.
The Dodgers will be bringing out RHP Jose De Leon on Monday. In his lone start in the majors, De Leon put up six innings with five hits and three earned against the Padres on September 4. In that outing, De Leon struck out nine batters.
The Dodgers have a few notable hitters on their roster. Corey Seager has hit 175 times with 95 runs, 25 homers and 68 RBI. Adrian Gonzalez has 148 hits with 62 runs and 78 RBI. Chase Utley has hit 114 times with 70 runs and 46 RBI.
Over on the Yankees’ side, we’ll be seeing RHP Bryan Mitchell make the start Monday. Mitchell also has just one start to his credit this year, with five innings, four hits and no earned against Toronto on September 7.
New York has a few notable hitters as well. Starlin Castro holds 142 hits with 60 runs, 20 homers and 66 RBI. Didi Gregorius has hit 136 times with 62 runs and 65 RBI. As for Jacoby Ellsubry, he’s got 133 hits with 66 runs and 53 RBI.
The Dodgers are 6-1 in their last seven Monday games, and 1-4 in their last five game ones of a series. Los Angeles is also 5-12 in their last 17 interleague road games, and 2-5 in their last seven interleague games versus a right-handed starter.
As for the Yankees, they’re 5-2 in their last seven Monday games, and 11-5 in their last 16 game ones of a series. New York is also 44-20 in their last 64 interleague games versus a team with a winning record, and 2-5 in their last seven interleague games versus a right-handed starter.
New York is playing really well lately, and I like the Yankees to take game one here.
